Liam’s 1st Birthday

Rahul & Kimberley were celebrating the 1st birthday of their son Liam and asked if I could make some family portraits and photograph the cake smash of their little one. It had been raining non-stop in Mumbai for weeks and the morning of the shoot didn’t look any better. We had already talked about the kind of photos we wanted, and an outdoor location was high on the list. As the rain started to ease, we prayed for just a window of an hour to make the photos we had planned.

Thankfully, the rain Gods heard our prayers and we got to work, quickly working through our plan. Liam took a short while to warm up to me and he was posing like a champ towards the end.

That evening, Rahul & Kimberley had a cake-smash planned for Liam. Kimberley baked the cake herself and a sugar-free one at that with healthy ingredients. The main birthday cake was made by Nikkita Pereira from A Cakewalk. Do check out her page, her cakes and designs are amazing!

All photos were shot on my new Nikon Z6 using the Nikkor 85mm F1.8G and the Nikkor 24-70mm F2.8G lenses and edited on Adobe Lightroom Classic using the Two Mann DVLOP presets (Mythic Potions: Amarone).
